La Maison Simons, Yorkdale

I've quickly become a fan of the department store Simons. I first visited their Ottawa store a few years ago and was excited when they announced they were coming to Toronto.

A few months back I visited the store in Square One Shopping Centre. The store was as good as I'd expected, but the shopping centre was pure chaos.

Today, I was off to their latest store at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. A department store has a hard life in 2025. Let's hope they fare better than those before it.🤞

I do have hope it can survive. There are the high-end aspirational products but also good quality mass-market goods. I think in its last years, Hudson's Bay forgot the mass market. Selling Balenciaga is not a volume business, right?
